Initially founded in 1999 by Paul Quinn to manufacture a select number of specialized engineering sub components, the company quickly expanded and grew to encompass a board range of services.

GreenStart Project Objectives
The Objective was to review the proposed new development from an energy efficiency perspective in order to integrate sustainability into the design from the outset and to identify the optimum design of the new building.
Key Challenges
Designs were at an early concept stage and challenging the design was difficult due to the lack of available data during the concept phase. This was turned into an opportunity to influence the design from a sustainability perspective with very little cost implications for redesign.
Key Changes
Review of the proposed ventilation and heating system from a sustainability perspective, led to an alternative heating system being proposed which had a reduced carbon footprint. This ensured energy efficiency is designed into the project from the outset.
Results
In excess of €50K of capital savings identified with €10K Opex savings implemented.
