The 13th visit in LEAN in Europe Driving Competitiveness series took place on 23 May 2017 in Germany.
Rational AG manufacturer of industrial kitchen products and with a 54% share of the global market has opened the doors to the EU-Japan Centre and to 32 people (of 13 EU nationalities).
Participants had the opportunity to see 100% KANBAN, cascade shop floor management; pilots in industry 4.0 into action. A preparatory evening was organised and included lean activities organised by the EU-Japan Centre’s WCM advisor-Prof. Richard Keegan, Enterprise Ireland.
The 12th visit in LEAN in Europe Driving Competitiveness series took place on 27 March 2017 in Spain.
A total of 41 people (of 15 EU nationalities) took part in the visit. ThyssenkruppNorte (https://www.thyssenkrupp.com/en ), manufacturer of escalators and moving walk-ways, opened their doors to the EU-Japan Centre and gave a demonstration of their implementation of WCM, the Hoshin Kanri and factory 4.0 approach.
