With more than 20 years leadership experience up to MD level, in Europe & the US, spanning multiple functions and industries (automotive, biopharma, plastics fabrication, precision instrumentation and engineering, high volume assembly, etc.), Paul is a senior business leader with a strong passion for business excellence and people development.
His lean training from the Milwaukee School of Engineering was supplemented with TPS training in Japan. This training has allowed Paul a comprehensive knowledge of the Toyota Production System. His experience has shown a range of deployment methods being utilised to develop bespoke solutions based on lean principles for business and people needs. His work has delivered excellent outcomes in the supply base, within operations (incl the sales, finance, design, project management processes) and in the service arenas.
Paul's enthusiasm, knowledge and experience allows for an excellent coaching and mentoring style that supports the development needs. A key strength lies in his ability to engage, build relationships and influence people from operator level up to the most senior leaders.
– Led a European-wide team to develop the Cargotec Production System (CPS) and then led the implementation of CPS in the TMFL & Tail Lift sites, Top 10 suppliers & service sites in Europe.
– Restored confidence in Dundalk factory performance by rebuilding the factory management team and achieving: 75% reduction in internal quality errors, 28% reduction in Inventory, 79% improvement in On Time Delivery & elimination of 2 week backlog and 30% reduction in Hrs-Machine.
– As part of the TMFL Global Leadership Team in 2014 and the Tail Lift Global Leadership Team in 2013, achieved Best Runner Up for performance improvement in both businesses.
