SUMMARY:Enterprise Ireland- Sustainability: ICT & Services: Climate Enterprise Action Fund
DESCRIPTION:Has your business started its sustainability journey? Do you have a climate action plan to help decarbonise your business? If the answer to these questions is ‘NO’\, then this webinar may be for you. \nThe transition to a low carbon world has become a defining force for business. For Irish companies\, this means opportunities to compete and grow as global investments in a sustainable future accelerates. \nICT has the capability to address many of the problems in our society\, including the threat from climate change. However\, as the world aims for net zero emissions by 2050\, the sector faces significant challenges in reducing its own energy consumption and environmental impacts. \nSimilarly\, there are many ways in which services can be part of the green economy and drive sustainable development. Business services can contribute to increasing sustainability for processes and products across industries\, and speed up the transition towards a green economy. \nWithin both sectors – sustainability is now recognised as a priority issue. \nThe new ‘Climate Enterprise Action Fund’ supports Irish companies to build the capabilities required to deliver sustainable products\, services and business models. This virtual event will provide an overview of these supports and offer practical advice for businesses of all sizes on starting out and continuing their sustainability journeys. \n\nAgenda & Speaker Details \n\n10am: Welcome from Joanne Sheahan\, Senior Executive – Climate Action & Sustainability\, Enterprise Ireland  \n10.05am: Yvonne Holmes; Chief Sustainability Officer – AIB \n10:15am: Andrea Carroll; Sr. Sustainability Programme Manager EMEA – Amazon \n10.25am:  Panel Discussion:  \n\nLaura Costello; Strategy Director Purpose & Planet – Thinkhouse\, The Youth Marketing Company\nEanna Glynn; Head of Sustainability – BidX1\nBrian Minehane; Account Director & Sustainability Programme Lead – Ergo\n\n  \n10.45am: Enterprise Ireland Climate Action funding supports – Kathleen O’Regan \n10.50am: Q&A  \n10.55am: Close Enterprise Ireland
