Today at the Enterprise Excellence event in Croke Park Minister Breen Launched Lean Business Ireland -Web Site.
In front of an audience of over 500 business people Minister Breen, DEJI, launched formally the Lean Business Ireland initiative.
Lean Business Ireland brings together in one place the key elements of Lean in Ireland. The development agencies, representative bodies, network groups, universities and colleges and  consultants are now working together to help companies in Ireland to access support, information and help as they embark on their own improvement journeys.
The launch of Lean Business Ireland coincides with a time where many companies in Ireland are facing unprecedented levels of challenge from Brexit, digitalization, political changes globally and the normal issues and challenges of day to day business. We all need to find ways to improve our competitive position and the Lean Business Ireland initiative provides a simple way to learn about and access supports.

The Lean Business Ireland web site gives information on what is Lean and how it can help and very usefully provides access to over sixty case studies from companies located in Ireland who have used Lean to improve their business competitive position, by working with the people in their operations across all levels and areas.

The site gives information on evolving news on Lean and Operational excellence as well as information mon events, best practice visits and seminars. An interesting aspect of the site relates to information on what research is being done in the area, and also gives the opportunity to suggest areas for future research. To drive competitiveness.

The site is destined to grow and develop as material becomes available.
