• Information session on funding supports available to Micro, SME or MNCs based in the Mid-West region taking place on February 21.
  • Nine Skillnet learning networks based in the mid-west region have collaborated with local organisations to offer this information session in response to the growing need for awareness of funding options among businesses in the mid-west region.

Free event for Micro, SME or MNCs based in the Mid-West interested in hearing more about funding options available for their business, taking place on 21st February 2018. Nine Skillnet training networks based in the Mid-West region together with Joe Leddin, Mid-West Regional Skills Manager and Supply Network Shannon are running a free briefing session for Micro, SME or MNCs entitled ‘Funding for Business’ on Wednesday 21st February 2018 from 8.00am – 12.30pm at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Limerick.

Companies in the Mid-West region are encouraged to attend to discuss the funding sources available which may help sustain, grow and develop their business, network with companies who have already availed of some of these funding options, and take the opportunity to hear from and speak to representatives from the Local Enterprise Office, Enterprise Ireland, Limerick Institute of Technology, IDA and local Skillnet Networks.

Skillnet networks are funded by member companies and the Training Networks Programme, an initiative of Skillnets funded from the National Training Fund (NTF) through the Department of Education and Skills. Skillnet networks work with their member businesses to design and deliver training that is cost efficient due to the funding available, relevant to their needs, provided at a time and a location that suits them, and of a high quality. Over 770 companies in the Mid-West region are currently benefitting from training through their local Skillnet network.

Speaking about the event, Gerard Murray, Network Manager, Next Level Skillnet said:

‘We are encouraging as many businesses as possible to register for this free event, which will equip them with the knowledge they need to adequately understand and access, the funding supports available to them via Skillnet Networks. The nine Skillnet Networks representing the mid-west region offer a comprehensive package of supports to assist businesses to both assess their skills needs and to take steps to address the issues and opportunities identified in order to increase their competitiveness.’

The nine Skillnet networks hosting the event are Aviation & Aerospace Skillnet, Aviation Finance Finuas Skillnet, Business Excellence Skillnet, ICBE Advanced Productivity Skillnet, Irish MedTech Association Skillnet, Lean & Green Skillnet, Next Level Skillnet, Limerick Chamber Skillnet and Shannon Chamber Skillnet.
