Now in it’s 5th year, IRDG is delighted to bring you Ireland’s leading annual business conference on Design Thinking. Designed to benefit and connect all those across the public and private sectors who continue to innovate around products, processes and services, this unique event will once again host leading speakers and practitioners with forward-thinking insights from Ireland and beyond.

The Design Thinking Ireland 2018 Conference will take place on 29th May 2018 in The Helix, DCU, Dublin. Workshops will continue on 30th May.

A recent study by PwC demonstrated that Design Thinking is now being used by almost 60% of companies as their operating model in driving innovation, given it’s more collaborative approach compared with traditional models. What design thinking does is provide a framework to create solutions from a user-need perspective and through its process enables designers, managers and CEOs enhance their creative confidence. It really forces a company to think of WHY and WHO they are developing a product or service for, getting to know their end user in a much more intimate way than they might have done heretofore.

Building this Design Thinking mindset and capability into innovation strategy and teams has been described as yielding extraordinary results that leapfrog the expected. The approach is being used universally to address issues ranging from the design of medical devices, packaging materials, electronic equipment, food products, invoice processing systems, software products, to blood donation services and emergency room visits, along with a whole variety of other products and services across the world.

Whether you are new to this topic or already focused on it, Design Thinking Ireland 2018 brings you an entirely new line-up to share the business experience and value of design thinking, and equip you with the knowledge to embed it in your business strategy and innovation culture.
